THE AKAMAR HERALD
ARGOS CHANGES ALLIEGENCE
King Faelrud of Argos has overruled The Alkes Noble’s
and changed his country’s membership from The Grand Confederation to The
Alliance.
THE FOLLOWING HAS BEEN PROVIDED BY THE ALLIANCE:
NOTES
FROM THE ALLIANCE
Storm clouds are gathering, or is that just smoke from the
funeral pyres. King Faelrud has come out of the lowlands of Ketos bordering
Argos. He has tried to raise support for his legitimate claim to the
throne of Argos, but has not had much success. He feels his moment
slipping away and decides to cast his lot. Now or never!! He
gathers what followers he can and makes his way to the capitol of Argos.
He will demand the Alkes Nobles recognize Faelrud, the true King of Argos.
In Ketos, Rolf the Rough fidgets and worries about reports from outlying
borders. He has supported Faelrud, but is unsure what turmoil Faelrud’s
coup may bring to the coast. There is word that Brown Dort was sighted at
night in one of the market squares. The withdrawal of Eridanus and
Piscis from the grand confederation is troubling. Rumblings of war are
worrisome. Rolf sends word to his Kaelum ally, Anndoquat to beware of
King Ralph. Anndoquat is annoyed. He has been occupied scraping
together a treasury and trying to keep Count Clannano in line. Fearing
trouble from his neighbors he hires the Salvation Army for his own protection
and warns Rolf to sharpen Keton swords. Rolf decides to sell off his
golden throne and use the funds to build a fierce defense. The population
of Ketos is put to work building a great wall of protection, The Wearwall.
